The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta is a higher end supercar from its sibling, LaFerrari. This is the top and best version of the LaFerrari that we have covered above. The Aperta has a limited production of only 209 units worldwide and 200 of those were sold to customers via invitation only and the other nine units were meant for company use.

The difference from this Aperta and the previous LaFerrai is that this new version gets a removable carbon-fiber hard top and a removable soft top, and both cars use the same engine. Other changes include a more efficient powertrain’s control electronics, a longer front air dam to help boost downforce, and the L-shaped flap on the upper corner of each windscreen pillar to reduce compression on the rear of the cabin in the absence of the roof.

And this means that the car is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and with a top speed of 349 km/h.

11. Pagani Huayra Roadster — $2.4 million

The Pagani Huayra is an Italian mid-engined sports car named after the wind god, Huayra-Tata. The Huayra was named “The Hypercar of the Year 2012” by Top Gear magazine and received a very positive review when tested by Richard Hammond on Top Gear. There are only 40 units available in the world. The FXX K is based on the street-legal La Ferrari and also the successor to the FXX and the 599XX.

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail tops this list. It is the most expensive car in the world and a one-off large luxury car made in the United Kingdom. This car is fully hand-built and inspired by coach-building of the 1920s and 1930s. The Sweptail was commissioned bespoke in 2013 as a one-off automobile, at the request of a super-yacht and aircraft specialist who had a unique idea in mind.

This car is off-market because it was made on the recommendations of one specific customer whose name the company has refused to divulge. The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a two-seater car; the sunroof is fully panoramic, tapering down sharply like the racing yachts. Perhaps, the customer who ordered the car is a yacht enthusiast.

Another interesting part to take note is that the interior of the car is handcrafted with wood and leather that are hidden for holding laptops behind each door. There is not much information available on this “most expensive car in the world”, but from the price tag, you can tell that it is going to be a super luxury with crazy features.
