How can I Find Inner Peace Within Myself

Everyone wants to live a peaceful and harmonious life, but in reality, most people find it hard to find inner peace within themselves.

People want to get ahead, they want financial freedom, they want to be rich, they want to build multi-million dollar businesses, they want to travel the world, they want to become a Facebook or a YouTube celebrity, they want to develop a successful career, they want to be healthy, have great relationships and grow a lovely family.

There are just too many things to be, do and have these days. Everyone seems to be attracted to the ‘shiny objects’ and are chasing them because that is what every else is doing.

If this describes your life, it simply means that you have no time for yourself. Most people underestimate living their lives with inner peace. They want more, yet they fail to see that less is actually more.

In other words, if you want to achieve greater results and produce outstanding success in life, you must first learn to find the inner peace within yourself. Here are a few suggestions how you can do it.

1. Let Go of the Past

It is important for you to understand that your past does not equal your future. You simply cannot change what has happened and there is nothing you can do about it.

The only thing you can do is to choose to let go. Some people are so clung to their past and they let their past to determine their future. Never let this happen to you. If you failed Math in school, it does not mean that you cannot become a successful scientist in the future.

If you have a bad relationship before, it does not mean that you are going to suffer the same fate again in your next relationship. Instead of letting your past to define who you are, choose to learn from your past. Your past can serve as a valuable experience that allows you to grow and move forward faster in life.

Tony Robbins, the world-famous success coach once said, “Success is the result of good judgment, which is the result of experience, experience is often the result of bad judgment.”

So, turn your past into your stepping stone to success. Never let your past become your obstacle that drags you down.

2. Never Force the Results

A lot of people find it stressful when they have poured in tons of effort but they did not see the result. You have to understand that you cannot force results. When you try to cling onto something too hard, you will be consumed by all the negativity.
Instead, choose to let go and trust that the result will come to you somehow or the Universe simply has a better plan for you.

It is ridiculous to think that you can become slim and fit after hitting the gym and workout hard for just three days. Do understand that results will not come to you that fast.

And if you want to have inner peace, choose to believe in yourself and just do your best. Once you have taken the necessary action, trust that the result will come. Do not push yourself so hard that you feel stress and end up destroying your well-being.

Sometimes, you just have to give yourself a little break. Rome was not built in a day and you have to understand that success is a marathon and not a sprint.

Spend time to recharge and take breaks from time to time. If you want to produce an amazing result in your life, make sure you maintain your composure and keep your inner peace. This way, you will be able to perform at an optimum level and do your best.

3. Practice Silence and be in Solitude

Studies have shown that people who spend time alone, in silence and people who are in solitude regularly are people who have more inner peace. They tend to be calmer, less likely to feel stress and are able to cope with problems better.

This is what you need to do if you want to find inner peace within yourself. Spend time to be with yourself. You will understand yourself better because you allow your thoughts to go free and engage in self-talk.

At the same time, you can practice patience through silence. It is also a great way to overcome problems when you are in silence because you take yourself out of the situation and see the problem from a new angle and from a bigger perspective.

Do you know that the China’s e-commerce billionaire Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba said that whenever he faced problems or obstacles that he can’t solve, he will just walk away and take a nap? After the short nap, he would feel better and able to see the situation from a better perspective and solve the problem.

4. Practice Meditation

Practicing meditation is a common sense to achieving inner peace within yourself. Just like how being in silence help you achieve the same result when you meditate, you quiet your mind and focus on your breathing.

When you meditate, you take your focus away and concentrate on your breathing, this allows you to temporarily switch your thoughts to something else. As a result, you will find that you will be at peace when you meditate.

Science has shown that there are many benefits one can get from meditation. For instance, you can become more creative, less stressful, better focus, better well-being and more importantly, you can find more inner peace from doing it.

5. Spend Quality Time With Your Loved Ones

It is true that people are getting distracted almost every minute in this busy world. This is obvious when people often look at their phone, play games whenever they are free or scrolling through social media for unproductive updates.

However, no matter how busy you are, do not forget to spend quality time with your family and loved ones. This is because human beings used to live in a group and we tend to crave for intimate relationships from others. We simply cannot live alone in this world.

Do you know that spending quality time with your lover and family can rejuvenate your mind and make you fresh? Your family and loved ones can be your trust source of motivation and spend time with them help you find inner peace within yourself.

There is saying, “Success starts from home”, and it is true. If you cannot even manage your family and spend quality time with them, there is no way you can accomplish outstanding results in other areas of your life.

And to find inner peace, one of the best ways is to find it from being with the people you love.
